    Hi!

We are a small, family-owned/operated, online firearms business out of Gaston (Washington Co). We've been around for about 3 1/2 yrs. While we offer a variety of firearms, accessories and ammo, our primary business is AK related. Obviously we are 2A supporters and Oregonians so joining up with this forum seemed only logical when I found out about it on Facebook.

We love to network, help others and support our God-given right to personal protection (and fun!)...we look forward to getting to know the rest of the Oregunians!

    Greetings!

We are a small family owned and operated business based in Gaston, OR. My wife and I are both NRA Certified Pistol Instructors, Range Safety Officers and I have several other NRA disciplines. We are also both certified to teach the Utah Concealed Carry class.

We specialize in teaching the classes required for the Oregon, Utah and Arizona concealed carry permits. We hold our classes in various locations around the Portland metro area, teaching once a month in Beaverton and Clackamas and then other places as well including at the Rose City Gun & Knife Show at the Expo Center. We also work with beginner shooters or people who want a refresher on shooting.

We are staunch supporters of the Second Amendment and this country. God bless America!

    Hi everyone!

Kerne Tactical LLC is a 100% Veteran-Owned/Operated business based in Lakeview, OR. (South-Central section of the state, for those of you whose maps don't show towns under 3,000 population!) We strive to provide armed Americans--especially Oregonians--with the top quality firearms magazines and accessories they need to defend themselves and their loved ones. This field is more than a business opportunity for us--it's a mission and a calling! As such, we try to keep our prices as low as possible so you can gear up without emptying your wallet!

On the more personal side of things, my name is Bryan, and I'm the owner of Kerne Tactical. I've been a lifelong supporter of the Second Amendment, but only in more recent years have I truly begun to appreciate exactly what that means. I served in the US Navy as a Gunner's Mate (2005-2009). I also served as a Defensive Handgun Instructor in the civilian world for a short amount of time. In between running my business and trying to keep my training up to acceptable levels, I serve as a Wildland Firefighter with the Oregon Department of Forestry.

I look forward to getting to know everyone here, sharing, learning about, enjoying, and defending the Second Amendment!

Hi ~~ In Irrigon,Or. I'm not sure if I reload to shoot or shoot to reload. Go out to local range twice monthly to clean up other shooters junk an pop off a few rounds. Been reloading since 1959. Enjoy shooting too old to hunt anymore.

My name is Soren Winslow. I am the owner of ArsenalExchange.com, a firearms classified ads and industry directory website. My wife, Laurie (I've got to get her to sign up here sometime), is a NRA Instructor and owns Keep Calm and Carry and teaches concealed carry classes and does one-on-one handgun shooting instruction, mostly for new shooters.

I've been in Oregon since about 1992. I will never admit to being an Oregonian, but I will quickly admit to being an Oregunian!

Besides my website I mentioned above, and helping my wife with her business, during the day I am the intranet webmaster at Cummins Northwest and I am also the club president (what they call Pack Leader) for the Triumph Riders Association of Portland (TRAP) which is our local Triumph motorcycles owners club.

Over the last couple years, I have become a huge fan of Bersa. I have ten of them now. They just keep calling my name. For their reliability, shootability, accuracy and the price, you can't beat them.

    Anyway, sorry so long,
    Soren

Just wanted to pop in and thank everybody for participating in our new forum and this thread. I realize the forum is very small but over time, it will grow with the help up each of you.

Feel free to start discussions throughout the forums and give feedback to others in the way of likes etc...

FYI, I'm planning a gun giveaway for this forum and it will be based on overall participation, not just post count.

Corvallis here. Yep, there are 2A supporters here in a town filled with libtards. Moved to Oregon 6 years ago. Born and raised in Hawaii. Lifetime NRA member, OFF member and a member of ARPC as well. Found out about this place at the Machine Gun Shoot. Great idea.

just found this site! My family has been here since before Oregon has been a state and I can only believe that my Grandfather many times removed would be horrified to see the Oregon he helped form has turned into the one we live in. I have been an avid shooter since I was 5 and hope that I will be able to pass that gift of heritage on to my 2 children and later on their children. Sites like this are essential to preserving the lifestyle we cherish and promoting our way of life in a positive manner. Glad to be aboard!

Welcome, Arm's Reach. I know Full well that term "Arm's Reach", within my own reasons: I spent Five Months in TayNinh, RVN, as a Telephone Lineman, And you just can't Reach any Farther, than "Arms Reach" . . . and if you Climbed like I needed to . . . you learned Just How Far you could lay out your Safety Belt, to garner another Inch or Three from the POLE, I liked my short legs for that, better muscle control than the long legged climber, Every Day.
    Enjoy your time here...

well, I only Eat one Bite at a time, if you follow my thinking...

But I will say this ~After the Rotating Wind Mover~ has been Sheeeeelacked, one would best learn to load what is Called in Norwegian as Cats Sneeze Ammo Very Quiet it is.

Or Stock up now, with Chamber adapters. My favorite Go To round is .308 and I have an adapter, that holds a 32ACP in the chamber. it is good to fifty yards After you learn its zero. Little distraction, and will not give away your AO, like a LoudenBoomer will.

In the same manner, I have all the materials to hand cast & hand load 22 Long Rifle, from a Commercial Source, YES it does work, and there are 4 basic loads they teach in their kit each providing a different weight and FPS, so different sound levels . . . . but this Might not be the correct forum, so forgive my instant reply!!!!

Given all the possible definitions of living get off the land; my definition is "harvest". I still enjoy hunting abroad, but have no criticism whatsoever, of a landowner or guest making a safe and otherwise healthy harvest on private land, or a hunter who uses food sources (existing or modified).

    Moving to Oregon!

    Hi!

My name is Chuck. Wife is Deb. Both 2A supporters and gun "enthusiasts". (Not as "enthused" as a lot of people, but we like to shoot and reload.)
We are retired and looking to move to Oregon. We want to be about an hour from Oregon City. Can anyone tell us what counties in that range would be considered "gun friendly"?

Thank you very much for any info, and please excuse me if this is posted in the wrong place. (Moderators please feel free to relocate the post.)

There are no truly gun friendly counties in Oregon. Get away from the I-5 corridor. Any county East of the cascades ignore the stupid state laws. Yamhill County is conservative.

    Hello All,
I joined the forum today. Found it on the OFF site. I'm over in the rural Shedd/Tangent area. I've lived in Oregon most of my life. I'm greatly concerned with the direction the State is going in regards to gun control. I'm happy to have lived long enough to see the SCOTUS recognize the 2nd Amendment as an individual right, and to have that right incorporated to the States through the 14th Amendment.
I work in a chemical R&D laboratory as a formulator of wood adhesives.
My favorite guns are breech loading carbines and rifles from the Civil War era. This because they were a transition in the technology of firearms at that time, and I love the history of the Civil War. I just bought the guts to a Colt AR-15 and am trying my hand at a custom build for fun.
I'm looking forward to all the good posts everyone will make here.
    Dan

    Howdy from down south

I'm from Southern Nevada but spend a lot of time with the grandkids near Portland and am interested to hear what the world is really like in Oregon. Things here are pretty firearm friendly but I know that's not always the case and want to walk soft when I visit. This looks like a pretty good place for information and insights are appreciated.
    Regards.

Welcome. I've found the people here in Oregon are generally firearms friendly, but the current State government is not. There have been several restrictive gun laws passed recently, and movement to make more. You can find that information on the OFF threads elsewhere on this site.
